Michael Easter is the New York Times bestselling author of The Comfort Crisis and Scarcity Brain. His work has been published in more than 60 countries and featured in The New York Times, Men's Health, Outside, the Wall Street Journal, and on Good Morning America.

He has spent 33 days in the Arctic backcountry, hunted his own food, and traveled the globe interviewing the world's top researchers, athletes, and thinkers — all to understand how modern comfort is reshaping us, and how to push back.

Michael is a professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he co-directs the Public Communications Institute. He lives in Las Vegas.
